Blind Auditions, Round 2 is the second episode in The Voice's first season, and the second episode overall.

Summary[]

Coaches Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, and Cee Lo Green must each choose five more artists to complete their teams. Host Carson Daly explains how the audition process works: the coaches have their backs to the performers and will only turn around if they want to add the singer to their teams. First up, Cherie Oakley sings "Gunpowder and Lead." The other coaches don't turn, but Christina wants Cherie on her team. Next, pre-med student Devon Barley performs "I'm Yours." Cee Lo and Adam Levine both turn. It's Adam who Devon chooses to go with. Joshua Hand gives it his best with "Paparazzi," but can't convince a coach to turn around. 16-year-old Raquel Castro sings "Bleeding Love." The tiny singer with the big voice is thrilled to be teamed with Christina Aguilera. Los Angeles-based Emily Valentine sings "Sober." Cee Lo and Blake both punch in, forcing Emily to choose. She picks Cee Lo. Niki Dawson sings "Teenage Dream" and also lands on Cee Lo's team. Sara Oromchi's performance of "Imagine" wins her a spot on Team Blake. Tim Mahoney sings the Sam Cooke classic, "Bring It on Home to Me." Adam loves Tim's reading of the song - and wants him for his team. Julia Eason, from Palos Verdes, California, sings "Mercy" so well that she inspires both Christina and Cee Lo to push their buttons. Julia will soon we realize a lifelong dream: to work with Christina Aguilera. Angela Wolff performs "The House That Built Me." It's a strong performance, but quizzically, no one turns around. Tyler Robinson performs "Hey Soul Sister." Blake is glad to land Tyler on his team. Nakia goes for it all, covering Cee Lo's "Forget You." The gamble pays off: the Austin, Texas-based singer lands a coveted slot on Cee Lo's team. Serabee sings "Son of a Preacher Man," landing her on Blake's team. Casey Desmond's version of "Born This Way" has Adam pushing his button. Justin Grennan's strong version of "Drops of Jupiter" impresses Christina enough for her to push her button. Dia Frampton sings "Bubbly." The coaches are impressed. Blake will take her onto his team. Curtis Grimes sings "Hillbilly Bone." Cee Lo likes what he hears. Next, two sisters from Santa Maria, California, Tori and Taylor Thompson, sing "Stuck Like Glue." The duo is a hit and makes their choice: they're joining Team Cee Lo. Carson explains a new twist: after consulting with the coaches, a group of singers who didn't make it on their first try will be given a second chance.
