In 2011, Jared's hometown of Joplin was hit by one of the deadliest tornados in U.S. history. Jared and his family suffered minimal damage, but spent the following months working with the disaster relief organization Convoy of Hope. Now, Jared works as the manager of a coffee and ice cream shop called Sweet Caroline's and is recently married. Jared hopes The Voice will jumpstart a singing career as his new job.
