Jordan Mackenzie Smith (born November 4, 1993) in Whitley County, Kentucky is an American singer and musician. In December 2015, he won season nine of the singing competition The Voice, which brought him to wide national attention.
Prior in joining The Voice, he was a student attending Lee University and was a member of the school choir called the Lee's Singers. Smith had previously auditioned for the show before and was rejected.
Smith came to national attention in 2015, with his participation on season nine of NBC's The Voice, where he got a four-chair turn during the auditions singing Chandelier by Sia gathering over 15 million views on Youtube within 24 hours. There, he chose to be part of Adam Levine's team on the show. His rendition of the song, "Great Is Thy Faithfulness", during week two of the live shows, charted on the Billboard magazine charts, where it placed at No. 30 on The Billboard Hot 100, and was No. 1 on the Christian Songs chart for two weeks straight before Smith again entered at No.1 with his recording of, "Hallelujah". On the November 30, 2015 Billboard Hot 100 chart, Smith entered at No. 61 with his cover of "Hallelujah".
Smith was declared the winner of season nine, earning $100,000, a Republic Records recording contract and a Nissan Altima car. Smith had teamed up with Usher and sang David Guetta's "Without You".
